February 24, 2016 - Owner Update

Dear Fellow Owners:

This letter is to bring you up to date on various Association activities.

By unanimous written consent, the Trustees have elected Dr. David Parker to serve as President of the Board, Sandra Sterns to serve as Residential Vice President, Melyn Campbell to serve as Treasurer, and Lance Williams to serve as Secretary. Heather Bowen will continue to serve as Commercial Vice President.

Having been requested, the Board will provide a special audited financial statement specifically addressing the redecorating assessment and subsequent expenditures of the redecorating project. The report will be provided to all Owners at a Special meeting of the members to be held on March 30, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room

The next Board meeting with all of the Trustees including the newly appointed Trustees will be held on March 9, 2016 at 7:00 pm in the Community Room. The Board anticipates meeting every month initially to discuss Owner issues as well as to solicit Owner feedback. Notices will be posted well in advance and, to the degree possible, an agenda.

The following is a brief update on several issues that the new Board will be working on:

The replacement carpet for the second floor hallway as well as the separation strips for each floor has finally been delivered and will be installed during the week of March 14.

The garage elevator lobbies have been delayed pending material selections. The carpeting in the garage area has been delayed pending warmer temperatures to ensure proper adhesion for the carpet backing and the floor glue.

Punch list items are presently being worked on. The majority of these involve painting and should be completed soon.

The “American Towers” lettering for the wall behind the security desk is in the final stages of approval and should be installed shortly. We hope to have the mock up available for the Board Meeting.

One of the glass exterior doors in the north lobby was destroyed during the recent violent wind storm that blew through in the early morning hours. A replacement door will be installed on Monday next week. Since these exterior doors do not lock, our security has not been materially compromised while a replacement was on order.

We have several Owner Committees working on selecting artwork for the South Lobby, the final design specifics of a proposed marquee over the Third South main entrance, and developing proposals for bringing high speed fiber optic internet to American Towers. We anticipate submitting these proposals in each area to Owners by means of surveys before making any final decisions. Stay tuned.
